Are you struggling to hear God’s voice in your life? Do you feel like you have been distant for too long or that discerning His voice is just for theologians and pastors?
The voice of God is one of the greatest, most intimate gifts we have been given and yet it is often one of the hardest mysteries to unravel. Internal narratives like:
Is this thought my own?
Are my emotions drawing me in that direction or is He leading me?
Is the enemy trying to set me off course?
It can bring a lot of confusion.
In today’s world of communication, it feels like it would be so much easier if the still, small voice was delivered to our inbox.
“But what if learning His voice is less about strengthening our own ability to hear the answers and more about practicing the discipline of being in relationship with Him?”
At a time when so many things are vying for our attention, Brittany Bruce carries a challenging testimony of what it means to live with intention and lean into the Voice leading you. That is why I can’t wait for you to hear her story on today’s episode of The Mary Marantz Show.
Faith is the cornerstone of her life and business and she loves digging into the Word to uncover mind-blowing discoveries about her Lord and Savior, Jesus. As the founder of Brittany Bruce Education, Brittany provides a space for women to grow in their understanding of the Word and be rooted in a community that helps them discover their God-given calling. Her hope is that as women embrace and apply the Scriptures that they will experience greater freedom not only in their lives but in their business.

Just as Brittany and her family started their summer vacation at their new condo, the call came in that their business had just hit seven figures. They were at the peak of success, living their dream life and yet, as she sat beside her husband celebrating, she realized this wasn’t actually what she truly wanted.
“What I thought would be the feeling of ‘we’ve made it, everything that we have worked for in the last five years is here and has happened’ was instead a feeling of ‘now what?’ Hours later as I was sitting up in bed I just kept thinking…
God, what is next? I’ve done everything I have worked hard to do, I have accomplished all these things, we’ve built our dream house, and this beautiful life, now what?
“And immediately in my spirit, I heard Him say ‘let it go.’ That was one of the first times I heard the whisper from God in a way that was indescribable, inescapable, and undeniable.”
To let it all go felt like she was being stripped down to the core.
Who was she if her appearance didn’t include success and having it all together? What would people think of her if she let it all go after all the work it took to get here?
She knew deep down what she needed to do, but it would take months of trying to logically make sense of the sacrifice before she surrendered. As she doubled down on her faith and stepped out in trust she started to notice a series of ways God was working, speaking, and moving in her life.
If you want to grow in your understanding of how God speaks to you or are longing for guidance on how to quiet the noise of life and amplify His whisper – this episode is for you.
Join Brittany and me as we discuss the temptation of ‘doing’ over ‘being’ and three principles to guide your time with God.
On today’s episode, you will hear:
The four ways God speaks to us
Why we shouldn’t rely solely on open and closed doors as our “signs”
What Brittany learned from her kids and a plate of chocolate chip cookies
It is not a matter of if God is speaking but how He is trying to connect with us moment by moment and in a world that demands our attention, His is the only Voice that patiently waits to be heard.
“What would it take for you to make space for His whisper today? “
